MISSION

Venetian Heritage is an international nonprofit organization with offices in New York and Venice that supports and celebrates the prodigious legacy of Venetian art in the territories that were anciently part of the Serenissima Republic, which at its maximum expansion comprehended part of Lombardy, the regions of Veneto and Friuli, Istria, Dalmatia, the coasts of Montenegro and Albania, some territories in the Peloponnese, and the majority of the Greek islands from Crete to Cyprus.

We support the restorations of artistic and architectural artworks, organize exhibitions, finance publications, and research to expand the studies and knowledge of artistic Venetian history.

Our mission is not only aimed at supporting and perpetuating Venice’s extensive artistic heritage, but also of her arts and centuries-old crafts. We make use of the abilities of the master restorers and safeguard the know-how of local artisans.

We collaborate with the principal Italian and international public institutions and sustain projects of valorization of venetian museums, we lastly favor cultural exchanges between the States that were formerly a part of the Serenissima Republic and bestow scholarships for the preparation of specialized conservators.
