It is with deep gratitude and enthusiasm that Venetian Heritage presents the Friedman Collection at the Glass Museum. Barry Friedman, art dealer and collector from New York, donated his impressive Italian glass collection to Venetian Heritage Inc. The collection includes 177 objects and bears witness to the style of Murano glass art from early 1800s to 1960. Artists such as Fulvio Bianconi, Tomaso Buzzi, Napoleone Martinuzzi, Carlo Scarpa, Archimede Seguso, Ermanno Toso, Paolo Venini and Vittorio Zecchin created some of the most important objects in this extraordinary collection.
Through Venetian Heritage, the Friedman Collection is now part of the collection of the Murano Glass Museum.
