Venetian Heritage, in collaboration with the Jewish Community of Venice, has decided to promote a special exhibition dedicated to the restoration of some precious Venetian Jewish liturgical objects owned by the Jewish Community of Venice, recently rediscovered after years of neglect. The treasures of the Ghetto have been beautifully restored and in the future will be permanently exhibited at the Jewish Museum of Venice.
Venetian Heritage has promoted Venetian culture once again, specifically through a special exhibition dedicated to the restored Venetian Jewish liturgical objects. The famous auction house Sotheby’s hosted the show at its headquarters in New York from December 2012 to the end of January 2013. The exhibition was held in various locations as follows: the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, Texas, from late February until April 2013; from June 2013 to February 2014 at the Galleria Franchetti alla Ca’ d’Oro, Venice; from April to July 2014 the silver collection was exhibited at the Belvedere Museum in Vienna; from December 2014 to March 2015 at The Art Gallery of Western Australia in Perth; and from May to September 2015 at the Musée d’Art et d’Histoire du Judaïsme in Paris.
