L\u2019opera \u00e8 probabilmente databile al 1683-1689 ca., periodo in cui Parodi era coinvolto in progetti scultorei a Padova e a Venezia.<br \/>\nLa superficie del busto, conservato nei depositi delle Prigioni di Palazzo Ducale a Venezia, si presentava coperta da uno fine strato di polvere con depositi pi\u00f9 spessi sulle zone orizzontali. In alcuni punti, come i capelli, la corona di spine e le sopracciglia, lo sporco appariva pi\u00f9 consistente e di colore grigio scuro, quasi unto. Sul marmo erano inoltre presenti piccoli buchi, risultato di inclusioni o di piccoli danneggiamenti.
