fusion-text-3\" style=\"text-align:justify;\"><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vincenzo Coronelli nacque probabilmente a Venezia nel 1650 e fu, intorno al 1678, che cominci\u00f2 a lavorare come geografo, costruendo per Luigi XIV due giganteschi globi manoscritti, uno celeste e uno terrestre, le cui riproduzioni in miniatura furono messe sul mercato dal Coronelli negli anni successivi.<br \/>\nGrazie a questo tipo di produzione, Coronelli divenne per pi\u00f9 di un ventennio il punto di riferimento in Europa per la realizzazione dei globi. Inoltre, negli stessi anni fond\u00f2 l\u2019\u201dAccademia degli Argonauti\u201d, la pi\u00f9 antica societ\u00e0 geografica del mondo.<br \/>\nOggi, esempi dei suoi globi sono esposti nella Biblioteca Nazionale di Francia Fran\u00e7ois Mitterrand a Parigi, nella Biblioteca Nazionale Austriaca, al Globe Museum di Vienna, alla British Library, alla Biblioteca Civica di Bergamo, al Ransom Center dell\u2019University of Texas di Austin e, infine, alla Biblioteca Marciana a Venezia.\u00a0Venetian Heritage ha finanziato il restauro del Globo Terrestre e del Globo Celeste di Vincenzo Coronelli conservati invece presso il Seminario Patriarcale di Venezia.\u00a0Come spesso avviene in questo tipo di manufatti, la maggior parte dei danni erano riscontrabili all\u2019altezza dell\u2019Equatore e nell\u2019emisfero australe, chiaro segno dei traumi provocati dallo spostamento e dagli sfregamenti dei globi con le rispettive basi.
